Two Rest of the World memories

Watching Sobers at one end and Graeme Pollock at the Oval in the 1970s. Wonderful. Both left handed. Pollock wouldn't play for South Africa so played for the rest of the world, due to apartheid ruling. Dereck

In the First Innings of the 1970 England v. Rest of the World match at The Oval Graeme Pollock scored 114 and Sobers 79.

In the Rest of the World v. MCC match played in 1987 to celebrate the bi-centenary of the MCC, Sunil Gavaskar scored 188 and won the Batsman of the Match award; Malcolm Marshall won the Bowlers' Award and Clive Rice that for fielding.
