Holly Luckett and Jade Jones: Darren Gough and Denis Compton

This is one of my step-dad's sporting memories. Its about a man called Darren Gough, but this isn't just any man, this was the most amazing bowler my step-dad had ever watched. He had once watched him at the beach tournament in 2006.

This was my step-dads sporting hero because of numerous reasons. Such as: he always enjoyed playing Cricket no matter what the weather; he always smiled; he always gave 100 percent no matter what the score and he took one of the best catches ever seen on the boundary.

Lastly, my step-dad enjoyed Cricket so much he took up semi-professional Cricket. For a while he played for Somerset, but stopped a few years ago due to serious spine problems.

Thanks to Darren Gough my step-dad fulfilled a dream/goal.
