Sangakkara making his century at Lord's June 2014, and Jayawardene jumping on his back. Anne Lippitt
In the Lord's Test of 2014 Kumar Sangakkara scored 147, his first Test century there
16th June 2014, 5th day of tour match against Sri Lanka where Sri Lanka needed 390 runs and England had 90 overs to get them out. After 2 sessions England had 3 wickets, then in the last session England got a further 5 wickets up to the final over. During the last over, Broad got the 9th wicket during the first ball and on the 5th had an LBW appeal accepted. This was reviewed by Sri Lanka and was found to have hit the bat so the LBW decision was overturned. No wicket for the final ball meant Sri Lanka got a draw, and all who attended were speechless. The final hour of the Sri Lanka Test, when the game could have ended on a hand shake but continued to the end. Fabulous. Liz Matthews
