Sophie Stranks: 2008, my first live match

I went to see Essex Eagles vs Sussex Sharks at the Essex County Ground in 2008. My first live cricket match - and my first T20 experience.

I did not know what to expect, but in a beautiful summery evening we watched the ground fill up to capacity.

Graham Napier came to the wicket. He smashed his way to 158 no with 16 sixes and 10 fours to equal the record for the number of sixes in a one day domestic game. Sussex Sharks certainly went home with their tails between their legs!

I now volunteer at Lords, and spent time collecting sporting memories during their Bicentenary day a few weekends ago.
