Anand Virgincar: 1971, Chandrashekhar bowls India to a win at The Oval

My earliest memory of cricket was as a 7 year old being woken up late at night in my sleepy little town of Goa, India and watching my Dad and his mates dancing in the rains around a shortwave radio broadcasting B S Chandrashekhar destroying England with 6 for 38 on a sticky Oval pitch in 1971.

In those moments I not just came to know that a sport called cricket existed ....& fell deeply and passionately in love with this game of chess on a playing field.
